HISTORY
The first St Giles'
web site was published about over fortenn years ago and at the time was one of the
first, if not the first, church web site in the area.
St Giles web site is designed to portray the church as the centre of the
community which in Exhall it certainly is!! Details of the worship and all
it's activities etc can all be found within its pages.
LAYOUT OF SITE
The site is laid out, hopefully, in an
easy to follow pattern. On the opening page (the portal) is a picture of
our church. Clicking on here will take you to the site index which is laid
out in six easy to follow sections.

screen are pictures of various activities that occur at St Giles' - clicking on
these will take you directly to that activity.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
- The site has been authored in Microsoft
FrontPage 2003.
- It is published using
FileZilla FTP program.
- To achieve St Giles Church Exhall
some e-mail
addresses use e-mail redirection. This the case with the Vicar's and
the Curate's - they have their own chosen email address to which
vicar@stgileschurchexhall.info and
curate@stgileschurchexhall.info are redirected.
- The font used throughout is Comic Sans
with 18 pt used for headings and 12 pt for main text.
- Some pages have a scrolling marquee on
them. Once again some earlier browsers do not support this technology and if
this is the case the marquee either does not show at all or remains stationary.
